Thank you for making Museum Day 2009 such a huge success! Please check back for information on Museum Day 2010.
Until then, check out our participating museums and upcoming events on our Twitter page.
The area's best hand-on history and science museum has a one-of-a-kind 12 ft. sound wall. Visitors step back in time through giant prehistoric animal murals and explore the wonders of life in the living science lab. Exhibits on health, sound, motion and electricity add to the fun of learning. Special dress-up theatre and "tot spot" for younger visitors make this a wonderful attraction for the entire family.
Museums and cultural venues participate in Museum Day voluntarily. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for individual museum content or participation.
