Desert Botanical Garden is a living museum featuring more than 50,000 plants, including rare, threatened and endangered species. Enjoy specialized tours, workshops, seasonal exhibits, special events, concerts and the opportunity to shop for unique items in our gift and plant shop.
The Garden is composed of 5 trails illustrating topics such as conservation, desert living, plants and people of the Sonoran Desert and desert wildflowers. The Cactus & Succulent Galleries feature displays of cacti and succulents presenting the great diversity of form, texture, and color found in these collections.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
