The Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture (CCJAC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the collection, study, exhibition and conservation of Japanese art, for the purpose of broadening appreciation of Japan’s unique cultural heritage among people of all ages.

Exhibits

The Clark Center's exhibition "Simplicity and Surprise: The Utilitarian Beauty of Japanese Lacquerware", starting September 1, 2013 through December 14, 2013, will explore the themes and modes of production of traditional Japanese lacauerware from the 16th to 21st century.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
