Circus World Museum celebrates the glorious history of the American circus. Located at the original winter quarters of the Ringling Bros. Circus, the National Historic Landmark features eight buildings brimming with exhibits. The museum also houses the world’s largest library and archives of circus history.
The history of the American circus comes to life at Circus World. See the world’s largest circus wagon collection, visit the original Ringling Bros. Circus buildings, gaze at colorful circus posters, and learn how circus continues to influence the world to this day.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
