Chinese Historical Society of America Museum is the oldest and largest organization in the country dedicated to the documentation, study, and presentation of Chinese American history. Through exhibitions, publications, and educational, public programming, CHSA promotes the contributions and legacy of Chinese America.
The Chinese of America: Towards a More Perfect Union tells the history of Chinese Americans in the United States, documenting immigration that began in the 19th century to the prolific presence of Chinese in American society today.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
