Tour Casey Jones' white frame home where he lived with his wife and three children in the 1890's and the 8,000 "Train Station" expansion that opened in 2009. Exhibit halls and the Museum store feature all things trains, a Thomas the Tank & Chuggington play corner and fascinating model train displays. Open daily. Conveniently located an hour from Memphis on I-40 exit 80A in Jackson, Tennessee.
Our expansion opened in 2009 and the 8,000 square foot "Train Station" features numerous exhibits on the life and legend of Casey Jones. Explore "The Railroads and the Civil War in Tennessee", a permanent exhibit that examines the Tennessee experience of the American Civil War. There is an authentic telegrapher display and a new interactive exhibit on the logistics of the wreck in 1900 that made Casey Jones a legendary hero.
