Walk in the footsteps of the world's most famous railroad hero at the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum. Tour Casey Jones' home where he lived with his wife and three children in the 1890's and the 8,000 train station expansion that opened in 2009. New exhibit hall and Museum store featuring all things trains, a Thomas the Tank & Chuggington play corner and fascinating model trains in operation.

Exhibits

Opened in 2009, the 8,000 square foot "Train Station" features greatly expanded exhibits on the life and legend of Casey Jones. Explore "The Railroads and the Civil War in Tennessee", a permanent exhibit that examines the Tennessee experience of the American Civil War. There is an authentic telegrapher display and a new interactive exhibit on the logistics of the wreck that made Casey Jones a legendary hero.




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
