A history museum in a small rural community built and supported by the community with visitors from across the country and many foreign countries.
Exhibits span from Native Americans to present. They range from arrow points to silk wedding dresses, with farm equipment, historic documents, an extensive quilt display, and other representations of the regional history. Emphasis on railroads, ranching, and women’s history.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
