Interpreting regional Paleontology, Estuarine Biology and Maritime History, the Calvert Marine Museum includes Maryland’s largest Miocene fossil collection featuring the 38 foot skeleton of extinct great white shark, fifteen tank aquarium with live River Otters and river cruises on historic Wm. B. Tennison.
Experience hand-on activities in the Discovery Room including touch tank and search for fossil sharks teeth. See Skates and Rays, try computer interactives about geological time and extinction, boats and climb the 1883 Drum Point Lighthouse.
