The Center Museum focuses on presenting the work of established and emerging artists, especially those living and working in the Southern California Region. For a schedule of current exhibitions and events, check our website at www.artcenter.org.
From August 14 – December 31, 2010, the Center Museum will present Leveled: An Interactive Experiment in Art featuring cutting edge work of four local artists. Each artist will create unique, interactive installations addressing ideas ranging from hunger, to immigration to the psychology and life of a fictional character. Patrons will change and redesign exhibited artwork, artists will then react to Museum patrons responses, and curators will navigate and study the work of these interactions.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
