This impressive Greek Revival structure, Bulloch Hall, is the 1839 childhood home of Mittie Bulloch (Roosevelt)
On December 22, 1853 Mittie married Theodore Roosevelt (Sr) in the dining room of the house. This union produced our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt. Visit the house to hear the engaging story of this well connected Southern family.
Your Museum Day ticket allows entrance to all of the Southern Trilogy Homes: Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall, and Smith Plantation.
Please join us on Smithsonian Museum Day to tour the house with period furnishings, original paint colors and award winning Museum Room. Walk the grounds to see the gardens, the reconstructed out buildings, Orchard Hill, the trail, and enjoy a cell phone tour of the property.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
