Within the museum you will find a large impressive collection of Miocene (14MYA)fossils, African, Asian and North American Animal mounts, Petrified woods, Gem and minerals,Dinosuars Native American artifacts, a life size Yokuts dwelling area and a interactive hands on discovery center designed for children but has something for all ages to enjoy.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
