Located in an 1882 courthouse, the museum features displays of local history, including agriculture, mining, education and domestic life. The gem in the museum is a working model railroad that represents 130 miles of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in 1900.
An historical model railroad display of the area is located upstairs. The museum includes a resource room with historical documents and photographs, plus newspaper archives.
