The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History has 22,500 natural history specimens and exhibits ranging from early cotton farming to fossils of ancient pre-historic animals. The museum also presents live animals, programs, and activities that encourage respect and appreciation for the region’s natural history.
Exhibits
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History presents “Lone Star Lizards”, September 11 – November 2, 2009. The exhibit will premiere at 6 pm, Thursday, September 10 with a fascinating presentation by Dr. Kathryn Vaughan: Lizards and Man: Mythology, Medicine, and More, followed by a free reception in the gallery.
