The Birmingham Historical Museum & Park features the 1822 Hunter House, a pioneer period furnished home, and the 1928 Allen House with changing exhibit galleries. The museum is open for public tours Wednesday-Saturday from 1-4 pm. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors, students.

Exhibits

Currently on exhibit at the Allen House is the 1930s permanent kitchen period room exhibit. The following temporary exhibits can be explored; "Cooking With Books," and "James Scripps Booth: The Artist and Engineering".




Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
