Nine room period museum dealing with domestic life in early 19th century Maine relating to a local doctor and his wife. Outstanding Rufus Porter murals in front hall are a popular attraction.
Exhibits on the history of Bethel, its skiing heritage, the Androscoggin River, the Mason and Robinson Houses, Maine minerals and gems, Maine barns, and the Maine Grange.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
