Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, with its 19th-century buildings and historic site, is both a New York City and a National Landmark situated in Pelham Bay Park. The site also includes a 19th-century carriage house, an 18th-century Pell family cemetery, and an early 20th-century formal garden.
Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum features period rooms with an impressive collection of mid-19th century furnishings and fine decorative arts. An exhibition entitled "From Pells to Parks: All About Us" will be on view.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
