The Museum at Papago Park is an educational, research, and cultural center focusing on Central Arizona history with an emphasis on the 20th century.
"Play Ball: The Cactus League Experience" explores minor league baseball and its importance to Arizona. "Views From the Homefront" explores the effect WWII had on AZ including Japanese internment camps, German POW camp, racial segregation in the 1940s, and the population growth because of the war. You can learn how central AZ grew post WWII by visiting the "Desert Cities" exhibition.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis.
