The Arab American National Museum is the first museum in the world devoted to Arab American history and culture. By bringing the voices and faces of Arab Americans to mainstream audiences, we strive to dispel misconceptions while paying tribute to the diversity of our nation.
The museum's four thematic galleries employ multimedia activities, artifacts, film and video, music and audio, and still photographs that document and celebrate the history and contributions of Arab Americans.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
