At American Independence Museum's Ladd-Gilman House (c. 1721) and Folsom Tavern (1775) visitors "connect America's Revolutionary past to the present" by discovering the role that one family and one town played in America's struggle for independence and the impact their decisions had on present-day life.
Visitors may take guided or self guided tours of both museum buildings. Special Exhibit: "What's in YOUR Attic?" will feature curious pieces from collection.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.
