Snapshot: Istanbul

One of the world’s most strategic waterways, the Bosporus Strait, runs right through Istanbul forming the boundary between the European and Asian parts of Turkey. The world's narrowest strait connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, ultimately leading out to the Mediterranean Sea.
