A Tour of the Paleontology Museum in Munich

Paleontologists have used microscopic analysis to identify pigment-bearing vesicles in fossilized feathers and compare them to modern feathers. The ancient colors identified so far have been white, black, brown and orange, as in this Archaeopteryx model.
