3. Hiding in a Coconut

We once thought that, as humans, we were the only animals sophisticated enough to use tools. But other mammals and birds have proven that assumption wrong—even one clever invertebrate. See for yourself. In this neat footage captured in Indonesia, veined octopuses use coconut shells to hide. When they are not hiding, they “stilt-walk” across the ocean floor gripping the shells with their eight legs.
