I'm partial (his Mother) His photography is fantastic and very artistically captured. The flag is so beautifully fitting and displayed as an 'Old Glory' that has been around awhile; it represents with age what it stands for, no matter what condition it is in..... to all our Veterans, those serving presently and a tribute to our beautiful Country. So thankful and proud to live here.

This photograph makes me tear up AND swell with pride all at the same time. My husband is in the military and just returned from deployment. THIS is why he does what he does...

I believe the image itself needs no "title". No matter how torn, beat or tattered she is - the fact that she's there STILL holding on and standing fast speaks to the spirit in ALL us Americans. Never "No longer fit to serve" always heads up and able one more day. Hold on one more day....

Hi Scott,
I'm sorry you don't like the caption we used. We sometimes edit the submitted caption for length and clarity or to make it as descriptive as possible - which was our thinking here. Thanks for leaving a comment. This is a beautiful and moving photo.
